I Am a Business Owner Who Was Given a Terrible Online Review by a Disgruntled Customer. Can I Sue for Defamation?

Transcript:
It's going to be difficult. It would depend on what the content of that particular post is. If there is a false statement of fact, then you may have a defamation claim. For instance, if somebody says that there were mice running around your restaurant and there weren't mice, that's something you can prove or disprove and you might be able to sue. But typically, if it's just, "I didn't like the service" or it's an opinion, you're probably going to have a very difficult time.

We had the misfortune of being sued for fraud on the sale of a business. David Pollack navigated our defense expertly, professionally and with just the right amount of passion. Our case went all the way to trial and we truly believe we would not have won our case if not for David's tireless defense strategies and flawless execution. Sophie L.
